I have been a Governor at St Anne’s School for over six years and became Chair in 2016, after serving 2 years as Vice Chair. I have also chaired the Resources Committee for almost 5 years.
In my professional role I have 30 years experience in commercial sales mainly in the information technology sector where I worked with many educational institutions. At St Anne’s I am involved in Safeguarding and Financial matters in addition to my role as Chair, leading a committed and passionate team of Governors who have a great range of skills and attributes and are always ready to give their time and enthusiasm to focus on improving outcomes for all our school family. One of my best days as a Governor was spent accompanying Year 6 on their trip to the Houses of Parliament. I am passionate about giving our children extraordinary experiences alongside the very best education to prepare them for life.
I am proud of what we have achieved at the school over the past few years and excited about the future as we continue on our improvement journey.
On a personal level, I have two grown up children and four grandchildren. I enjoy travelling both abroad and closer to home. My hobbies include sewing and other crafts, reading, theatre and music.

I am a recently appointed Foundation Governor (June 2022) and proud to be a part of the Board of Governors at St Anne’s having seen the school develop over many long years. I I work part-time in Finance at a Primary School in Pendle and enjoy working in education but I was a previous member of staff at St Anne’s and served 2 terms as staff governor in the early 2000s. I am looking forward to learning more about the broader aspects of running a primary school and keen to offer what support I can.
I live quite locally, am a member and treasurer of Lumb Baptist Church and since my 3 children grew up I have been able to get involved more in community activities. I enjoy walking (especially in our lovely valley), caravaning and foreign languages.
