Mission Statement

“At St. Anne’s, we aim to be a caring, Christian school, within the community, where everyone is respected and valued.

To be a school where all individuals are encouraged to build on their strengths and aspire to be the best they can.”

Ethos

Recognising its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the church at parish and diocesan level.

The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.

As a Church of England Primary School we have collective worship everyday and sometimes our nursery children take part. Parents have the right to withdraw children from collective worship.

Our latest OFSTED inspection was conducted in May 2023.

We are extremely proud that St Anne’s continues to be a ‘GOOD’ school.

Did you know that our school also has a nursery as part of the EYFS setting?

Our nursery setting is part of our school family and has excellent teaching and an awesome learning environment.

In May 2023 OFSTED said:

‘Children in the Nursery class are encouraged to distinguish sounds so that they are ready to access the phonics programme in the Reception class.’

‘Pupils, including children in the early years, settle into the school routines well. Leaders are relentless in supporting pupils to attend school regularly and on time. Pupils are motivated to succeed.’

St Anne’s takes children as soon as they are 3. This means you do not have to wait until the term after their 3rd birthday. Nursery also accommodates the government’s 15- and 30-hours free programme.
If you, or you know someone else, who would like to look around our nursery setting, please contact the school office who will arrange a show around for you.

St Anne’s Christian ethos

Watch our school ethos group talk about why they know they are loved in our awesome school. This is the epitome of what St Anne’s is all about.
